This SmartPro ® line-interactive UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The SMART1500LCD is ideal protection for small business networks, VoIP systems, point-of-sale applications, desktop workstations, home offices and home theater systems.
Reliable Battery Backup Keeps You Operational Through Power Outages
The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Switchover from line to battery power happens within milliseconds to maintain continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting.
NEMA 5-15R Outlets Protect Your Connected Components
Eight 5-15R outlets provide connected equipment with PWM sine wave AC output. Power provided by these outlets is filtered to protect connected equipment against damaging surges and line noise.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts. The SMART1500LCD can correct brownouts as low as 75V and overvoltages as high as 147V back to nominal 120V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.
Premium Protection from EMI/RFI Line Noise Helps Your Equipment Perform Better
This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer.
ENERGY STAR-Certified to Help You Save Money and Protect the Environment
By meeting strict U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements, this ENERGY STAR UPS system provides high operational efficiency to signal a reduction in BTU emissions, save on utility and cooling costs and help protect the environment.
Intuitive Front-Panel Interface for Convenient UPS Operation and Monitoring
The large LCD indicates a variety of UPS operational conditions, including voltage, runtime, load, battery and operating mode. The control panel rotates to accommodate both rack-mount and tower configurations. An audible alarm indicates loss of utility power or low battery.
Advanced Communications Ports Allow for Automatic Saves and Shutdowns
RS-232 and HID-compliant USB ports connect to a computer running free downloadable PowerAlert ® software to enable safe unattended system shutdown in case of a prolonged power failure. Cables are included.
Versatile Installation Options
You can mount the SMART1500LCD in just 2U of space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included hardware. You can also adapt it for tower installation using the included brackets. The six-foot power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug connects to a compatible AC outlet.

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Need more runtime? This UPS accepts external battery packs (XBPs). Contact us about XBP options →
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Replacement batteries that fit this exact UPS
A line-interactive UPS typically needs new batteries every 3–5 years. We stock the matching replacement cartridges — Canadian warranty.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
