The Vertiv Liebert GXT3 online UPS series
The Liebert GXT3 is Vertiv's compact online double-conversion UPS line, designed for equipment that needs clean, continuously regulated power rather than the brief transfer of a line-interactive unit. In a true online topology the connected load always runs from the inverter, so incoming voltage is conditioned and isolated end to end and the output is a pure sine wave. That makes the GXT3 a fit for network closets, edge cabinets, point-of-sale and small server or telecom loads where power quality matters as much as runtime.
The GXT3 family spans several capacities and form factors across its full Vertiv lineup; the model we carry is the 1000VA / 900W GXT3-1000MT120, the compact mini-tower variant. Below is the model we stock. If your sizing lands above this point, see the full range below or reach out and we'll match a unit to your load.

How to choose a GXT3 UPS
VA vs. watts. Size to both numbers. VA (volt-amps) is the apparent-power ceiling and watts is the real-power ceiling; your equipment's total draw must sit under both. The GXT3-1000MT120 is rated 1000VA and 900W, giving a power factor of 0.9 — load it to roughly 900W maximum, not 1000W.
Runtime expectations. On this model you get about 15 minutes at half load and 5 minutes at full load from the internal batteries. That is sized for a clean, automatic shutdown or to bridge a short outage. If you need to ride through longer outages, the GXT3 supports extended battery cabinets to lengthen runtime.
Online vs. line-interactive. The GXT3 is fully online double-conversion. Choose it over a line-interactive UPS when your load is sensitive to voltage fluctuation, when you run generators or unstable mains, or when zero transfer time matters. For less critical desktop loads a line-interactive unit may be enough.
Mini-tower footprint. The GXT3-1000MT120 is the compact mini-tower variant, sized to sit on a shelf, desk or floor in a network closet or small equipment room. If you need a rack-mount unit, the GXT3 line also offers rack/tower (RT) models in the same capacity — ask us and we'll point you to the right SKU.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Liebert GXT3 a true online UPS?
Yes. The GXT3 is online double-conversion, so the load always runs from the inverter and the output is a regulated pure sine wave with no transfer time.
How much can I plug into a GXT3-1000MT120?
Up to 900W of real power (1000VA apparent). Keep your total connected load under both figures.
How long will it run during an outage?
About 15 minutes at half load and 5 minutes at full load on internal batteries. Add an extended battery cabinet for longer runtime.
Can it mount in a rack?
The GXT3-1000MT120 is the mini-tower (MT) variant and is designed to stand as a tower; it is not a rack-mount unit. If you need rack mounting, the GXT3 line offers rack/tower (RT) models in the same capacity — contact us and we'll match the right SKU.
Can I replace the batteries myself?
Yes. The GXT3 uses hot-swappable batteries, so cells can be replaced without powering down the connected equipment.
