The CyberPower PFC Sinewave series is a line of line-interactive UPS systems with pure sine wave output, ranging from 500 VA / 300 W to 2000 VA / 1540 W in mini-tower and 1U/2U rackmount form factors. Genuine CyberPower units, shipped from our Canadian warehouse.
The CyberPower PFC Sinewave family is CyberPower's line of line-interactive battery backup systems built around pure sine wave output. Every model in this series delivers a clean sine wave on battery, which is what active-PFC power supplies in modern servers, workstations, NAS appliances and networking gear expect. Simulated or stepped-wave UPS units can cause those power supplies to shut down or behave unpredictably during a transfer to battery; a PFC Sinewave unit avoids that problem entirely.
This series sits in CyberPower's prosumer-to-business tier: above the basic standby and simulated-wave consumer units, and below the dedicated online double-conversion lines. It is aimed at IT buyers protecting servers, workgroup equipment, telecom hardware, point-of-sale systems and high-end workstations where the load uses an active-PFC power supply. The range spans 500 VA / 300 W up to 2000 VA / 1540 W, in desktop mini-tower as well as 1U and 2U rack/tower form factors, so you can size a unit to a single workstation or to a small rack.
Representative and notable models are shown below; see the full range listed on this page for every available configuration.

Size by watts, not just VA. A UPS carries two ratings: VA (apparent power) and watts (real power). Modern IT loads are limited by the watt rating, so add up the wattage of everything you want to protect and pick a model whose watt rating comfortably exceeds it — aim to load the UPS to no more than about 70-80% so you keep headroom and useful runtime. In this series the watt rating runs from 300 W on the CP500PFCRM1U up to 1540 W on the OR2200PFCRT2U.
Set your runtime expectation. These units are designed to ride through short outages and to give you time for a clean, graceful shutdown — not to run a load for hours. Half-load runtimes in this series fall roughly in the 6-17 minute range and full-load runtimes in the 1.5-7.7 minute range, depending on model. If you need longer, the OR1500PFCRT2U and OR2200PFCRT2U are extended-runtime capable and accept add-on battery packs.
Topology. Every model here is line-interactive with automatic voltage regulation (AVR), which corrects sags and surges without draining the battery and switches to pure sine wave battery power only when needed. Line-interactive is the right fit for most servers, network closets and workstations. If you have a load that requires zero transfer time and full input isolation, that is the job of an online double-conversion UPS rather than this series.
Rack vs tower. Tower (mini-tower) models suit a desk, shelf or floor next to the equipment they protect. The rackmount models mount in a standard 19-inch rack and come in both 1U and 2U heights; the OR-series RT units can also stand vertically as a tower, giving you flexible deployment.
These CyberPower PFC Sinewave units carry a 3-year manufacturer warranty. We are based in Canada and ship genuine CyberPower UPS systems from our Canadian warehouse, with Canadian pricing and local support — no cross-border duties or surprise brokerage fees.
When the internal batteries in one of these units reach end of life after a few years of service, you do not need to replace the whole UPS. See our CyberPower replacement battery collection for genuine replacement battery cartridges, and visit our CyberPower brand page for the full lineup of CyberPower products we carry.
What does “PFC Sinewave” mean?
It refers to a UPS that produces a true (pure) sine wave on battery, which is required by power supplies that use active power factor correction (active PFC). Active-PFC supplies are standard in current servers and high-end PCs, and they can fault on a simulated/stepped waveform.
Are these online (double-conversion) UPS systems?
No. Every model in this series is line-interactive with automatic voltage regulation. Line-interactive is well suited to servers, networking gear and workstations. For loads that need true zero-transfer, full-time double conversion, choose an online UPS instead.
How do I size the right model?
Total up the wattage of the equipment you want to protect, then choose a model whose watt rating exceeds that total with room to spare (aim for 70-80% load). This series ranges from 300 W to 1540 W.
Can I get longer runtime?
The OR1500PFCRT2U and OR2200PFCRT2U are extended-runtime capable and accept external battery packs. Other models in the series use their internal battery only, sized for short outages and graceful shutdown.
Tower or rackmount — which should I buy?
Choose a tower (mini-tower) model for a desk, shelf or floor placement beside the equipment, or a 1U or 2U rackmount model to install in a 19-inch rack. The OR-series RT units can do both.
