The Tripp Lite OmniSmart line is a standby / line-interactive UPS range for desktops, home offices and point-of-sale, from about 300 VA to 850 VA. Battery type

OmniSmart models use a 6 V or 12 V VRLA battery depending on the model — smaller units (e.g. OMNISMART350, OMNISMART675) typically use a 6 V battery, while 500–850 VA models use a 12 V battery (commonly 9 Ah). Match by your exact model number rather than by VA alone.

How to replace

OmniSmart batteries are user-replaceable:

1. Confirm the correct battery for your model.
2. Power down and unplug the UPS.
3. Open the battery cover on the base or rear.
4. Disconnect the old battery and remove it.
5. Fit the new battery, reconnect observing polarity, and close the cover.
6. Recharge and run a self-test.
