Who buys used UPS systems in Canada?
We do — UPS Plus Battery operates one of the few Canadian buyback programs for enterprise UPS hardware. Most "we buy UPS" services are US-based, which means customs paperwork, cross-border freight, and payment friction for Canadian sellers. We evaluate, collect, and pay within Canada, and eligible units are professionally refurbished in our Delson, QC workshop rather than scrapped.

Best value: rack/tower units from 1 kVA up, under ~10 years old, with intact chassis. Dead batteries are fine — we replace them anyway. We generally do not buy consumer desktop units (Back-UPS ES/CyberPower home models) unless in quantity.

Common questions
Do you buy UPS units with dead batteries?
Yes. Batteries are the wear item — we install new ones during refurbishment. Dead batteries lower the offer only slightly; a clean chassis and working electronics matter far more.
Do you buy single units, or only lots?
Both. Single enterprise units (1 kVA and up) are welcome via ship-in; for 3+ units we typically arrange palletized freight pickup at our cost, anywhere in Canada.
How is the offer calculated?
Model demand, age, condition, and completeness (rails, network cards, battery trays). You'll get a firm number — not a range — once we've seen the nameplate and photos. Trade-in credit offers are typically 10–15% higher than cash.
What about data or configuration on network cards?
Network management cards are factory-reset during refurbishment. If you prefer, remove the cards before shipping — the offer is adjusted accordingly.
