CyberPower's Smart App Online (OL) series is a line of true online double-conversion, pure sine wave UPS systems spanning 750 VA / 750 W up to 10,000 VA / 10,000 W in rackmount (2U–5U+) and tower/rack convertible form factors. Every unit is genuine CyberPower, shipped from our Canadian warehouse.
The CyberPower Smart App Online (OL) series is a family of true online double-conversion uninterruptible power supplies built for the loads that cannot tolerate a transfer gap or dirty input power: servers, network closets, storage arrays, VoIP and telecom gear, medical and lab instruments, and edge equipment running off generator or unstable utility power. Because the OL series continuously rebuilds the AC waveform, it delivers a clean pure sine wave output with effectively zero transfer time to battery. It sits above CyberPower's line-interactive families (such as the Smart App LCD/PR sinewave series) as the company's premium, always-on protection tier.
This collection spans 750 VA / 750 W up to 10,000 VA / 10,000 W across rackmount (2U, 3U, 4U and 5U-and-up chassis) and tower/rack convertible form factors, so you can match the unit to anything from a single appliance up to a full rack. Every model in the series is extended-runtime capable, accepting external battery packs when you need to ride through longer outages.

The full series also includes the OL1000RTXL2UN, OL1500RTXL2UN, OL2200RTXL2UN, OL3000RTXL2UN, OL3000RTXL2UHVN, OL1K5RTHD, OL2K2RTHD, OL5KRTHDL, OL6KRTHDL, OL8KRT and OL10KRT. Higher-capacity units (5 kVA and up, plus the HVN models) provide 208/240 VAC output for high-density and split-phase deployments.
Size by watts, not just VA. Your equipment's real draw is measured in watts. Add up the wattage of everything you'll plug in, then pick a model whose watt rating comfortably exceeds that total (aim to load the UPS to roughly 50–80% of its watt rating to leave headroom and extend battery life). VA is the apparent-power rating and is always equal to or higher than watts; on the OL series the two are close because online double-conversion units carry a high power factor — several models here are rated 1:1 (for example OL750RTHD at 750 VA / 750 W and the OL5K–OL10K units).
Set runtime expectations. The runtimes in the table are at the unit's internal battery. Half-load runtimes here range from roughly 6 to 21 minutes, and full-load runtimes from about 2.4 to 8 minutes — enough to ride through brief outages or trigger a graceful, automated shutdown. If you need to survive longer outages or run until a generator stabilizes, every model in this series is extended-runtime capable and accepts matching external battery packs.
Topology — why online matters. Unlike line-interactive UPS systems that switch to battery only when the input fails, an online double-conversion UPS continuously converts incoming AC to DC and back to a fresh AC sine wave. That means zero transfer time and complete isolation from sags, surges, frequency drift and waveform distortion — the right choice for servers, storage, telecom and any sensitive or generator-fed load.
Rack vs tower. Choose a rackmount chassis (2U, 3U, 4U or 5U+) when the unit lives in a server rack; choose a tower/rack convertible model (the RTHD units) when you need the flexibility to stand the unit upright in a closet or lay it in a rack later.
The CyberPower OL units in this collection carry a 3-year manufacturer warranty. All stock is genuine CyberPower and ships from our Canadian warehouse, so you avoid cross-border duties, brokerage and currency surprises, and you get local support before and after the sale.

Is the Smart App Online series a true online UPS?
Yes. Every model in this collection uses online double-conversion topology, which continuously rebuilds the AC waveform and delivers a pure sine wave output with zero transfer time to battery.
What size UPS do I need?
Total the wattage of the equipment you'll connect and choose a model whose watt rating exceeds that total with room to spare (loading to about 50–80% is ideal). This series runs from 750 W to 10,000 W.
Can I extend the runtime?
Yes. Every model here is extended-runtime capable and accepts matching external battery packs for longer backup.
Can these be rack-mounted?
Yes. The series includes dedicated rackmount chassis (2U through 5U+) and tower/rack convertible RTHD models that install either way.
Do they support network monitoring?
Yes. The OL series supports network/SNMP cards and management software for remote monitoring, alerts and automated shutdown.
