Replacement battery cartridges for Eaton 5P series, Eaton's compact line-interactive UPS for IT closets, small server rooms, and edge deployments. Models supported include 5P 550, 5P 750, 5P 850, 5P 1150, 5P 1500, 5P 1550, 5P 2200, 5P 3000, plus rack-mount variants 5P 1500R, 5P 1550R, 5P 2200R, 5P 3000RT and tower-rack convertibles.

5P cartridges typically use the 5P850BAT, 5P1500BAT, 5P1550GR, 5P2200BAT, or 5P3000BAT replacement kit codes, always check the cartridge label printed on your existing battery before ordering. Hot-swap design lets you replace cartridges without dropping the load.

Eaton 5P replacement batteries

The Eaton 5P is an entry-level line-interactive UPS for desktops, networking and small server loads, in rack and tower form from 550 VA (5P550R) to 3000 VA (5P3000). (It sits below the 5PX and 9PX in Eaton's range.) Its sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery wears out after about 3 to 5 years; a new battery restores full runtime. Battery type

Most 5P models use 12 V VRLA batteries. Capacity and count vary by model, so match by your exact model number (e.g. 5P1500RC, 5P850G) rather than by VA alone.

How to replace

eaton.com lists the 5P batteries as user replaceable. On rack models the battery tray is front-accessible; on tower models the battery sits behind a panel:

  1. Confirm the correct battery for your model.
  2. Open the battery compartment or release the tray (power down first if your manual requires it).
  3. Disconnect the old battery and remove it.
  4. Fit the new battery (or set), reconnect observing polarity, and close up.
  5. Recharge and run a self-test.

Is the 5P battery the same as the 5PX?

No: 5P and 5PX are different ranges (the 5P has no EBM option; the 5PX takes EBMs); confirm against your exact model.
