Compatible replacement batteries for CyberPower OR-series rackmount/tower UPS systems, including the OR2200, OR2200LCDRT2U, OR2200LCDRTXL2U, OR2200LCDRM2U and OR2200PFCRT2U. These 2200VA models use four 12V sealed lead-acid batteries wired in series. Confirm fit by your exact UPS model number, then check the product page for the battery count, voltage and amp-hour rating of each kit. In-stock kits ship from our Canadian warehouse for fast Canada-wide delivery.
The CyberPower OR (Office Rackmount) line uses sealed lead-acid (SLA / VRLA) batteries that wear out over time and eventually need replacement to restore full runtime. This hub covers compatible replacement kits for popular OR-series models including the OR2200, OR2200LCDRT2U, OR2200LCDRTXL2U, OR2200LCDRM2U and OR2200PFCRT2U. Each model ships from our Canadian warehouse.
OR-series UPS systems are built around 12-volt SLA cells. To reach the operating voltage the UPS needs, several 12V batteries are wired in series inside a battery pack or cartridge. That is why a single unit takes a set of batteries rather than one: the individual cells are 12V, and the pack as a whole carries the combined string voltage. The 2200VA OR-series models in this hub use four 12V SLA batteries (a 48V string), each rated at 9Ah per the manufacturer’s replacement cartridges. Some listings show the per-cell 12V rating and others show the 48V string voltage, so always confirm the battery count and ratings on the product page for your exact model.
Do not guess. The safest way to order is to read the model number printed on the back or bottom label of your UPS (for example, OR2200LCDRT2U) and match it exactly. Then confirm the kit details on the product page, which lists the battery count, the voltage and the amp-hour rating shown in the product grid. Matching by exact model avoids ordering a kit with the wrong cell count or capacity.
You have two options when a UPS battery fails. Genuine OEM cartridges are sold by the manufacturer under their own part numbers. Aftermarket replacements are compatible batteries built to the same form factor, voltage and capacity, typically at a lower price. Both restore runtime; aftermarket kits are a cost-effective equivalent when matched correctly to your model.
SLA UPS batteries typically last 3 to 5 years. Heat is the single biggest factor: battery life roughly halves for about every 8°C of sustained operating temperature above 25°C. Keeping the UPS in a cool, ventilated location extends service life. If your UPS beeps, shows a battery fault, or runtime has dropped sharply, the batteries are likely near end of life.
Servicing the batteries: The CyberPower OR-series is a line-interactive UPS with a user-installable internal battery cartridge, accessed by removing the front bezel and the battery-compartment cover. The cartridge is designed to be replaced by the user, but unlike larger online/double-conversion units it is not built for live hot-swapping while the UPS carries a load. Before servicing, switch off connected equipment, power the UPS down and disconnect it from utility power, then remove and replace the cartridge following the orientation and wiring of the original pack. Do not change the batteries while the unit is running.
How do I know which battery kit fits my UPS? Match the exact model number on your UPS label to the product, then confirm the battery count and ratings on the product page.
How many batteries does an OR2200 unit take? The 2200VA OR-series units use four 12V SLA batteries wired in series. The exact ratings are listed on each product page — confirm against your specific model.
How long will the new batteries last? Typically 3 to 5 years, shorter in hot environments since life roughly halves for every 8°C above 25°C.
Are aftermarket batteries safe to use? Yes, when matched correctly to your model’s voltage, capacity and form factor. They are compatible replacements built to equivalent specifications.
Can I replace the batteries without powering down? No. The OR-series cartridge is user-installable, but it is not built for live hot-swapping, so power the unit down and disconnect it from utility power before servicing.
