Replacement battery kits for Eaton Powerware Prestige and Prestige EXT UPS systems. Every Prestige uses 12V sealed lead acid (AGM) batteries, but the capacity and number of cells differ by model, so match by your exact model number and let the product grid confirm the specs. All kits ship from our Canadian warehouse.
The Eaton Powerware Prestige and Prestige EXT line are line-interactive UPS systems that protect servers, network gear, and point-of-sale equipment. When runtime drops or the unit beeps a battery fault, the internal batteries — not the UPS itself — are almost always what needs replacing. The kits in this collection are compatible replacements sized to specific Prestige models.
Every Prestige model runs on 12V sealed lead acid (SLA/AGM) batteries. What changes between models is the capacity (amp-hours) and the quantity of 12V blocks wired together. A small Prestige 650 uses a handful of 12V 5Ah cells; larger and extended-runtime (EXT) models stack more cells or use higher-capacity cells to deliver longer backup time. Because the cell count and amp-hour rating vary across the series, the safe way to order is to match your exact model rather than assume one number fits all.
Find the model number on the label on the back or bottom of the unit (for example, "Prestige 1000", "Prestige EXT 1250", or "PRESTIGE1500"). Order the kit that names your exact model. The product grid above lists the voltage and amp-hours for each kit so you can confirm the specs before you buy. If two models look similar, the label is the deciding factor — small differences in the model name often mean a different cell count.
You have two paths: genuine Eaton OEM battery packs, or aftermarket compatible replacements. Genuine OEM packs carry Eaton branding and pricing. Aftermarket SLA batteries that meet the same 12V rating, amp-hour capacity, terminal type, and physical dimensions perform the same job in the UPS and typically cost less. The batteries in this collection are aftermarket compatible replacements built to the original specifications.
Sealed lead acid UPS batteries last roughly 3 to 5 years under normal conditions. Heat is the single biggest factor: as a rule of thumb, battery life is roughly halved for every 8°C of sustained operating temperature above 25°C. A UPS in a hot server closet or near other heat-producing equipment will need batteries sooner than one in a cool, ventilated space. Plan replacements on a schedule rather than waiting for a failure.
How do I know which kit fits my UPS?
Match the exact model number printed on your unit's label to the kit title. The product grid shows the voltage and amp-hours for each kit.
Are these the same as genuine Eaton batteries?
These are aftermarket compatible replacements built to the original 12V capacity, terminal, and dimensional specifications. They are an alternative to genuine OEM packs, not OEM packs themselves.
Do I have to replace all the batteries at once?
Yes, on multi-battery models. Mixing new cells with aged cells reduces the lifespan of the new ones.
How long will the new batteries last?
Typically 3 to 5 years, less if the UPS runs hot. Sustained heat above 25°C roughly halves life for every 8°C increase.
Can I swap the batteries while the UPS is running?
Only if your specific Prestige model is rated for hot-swap in its user manual. If hot-swap is not documented for your model, power the UPS down and disconnect the load first.
