Compatible replacement battery sets for Dell-branded UPS systems, matched by exact model and part number. Built with fresh, high-rate sealed lead-acid cells and shipped from our Canadian warehouse.
Dell UPS systems are rebadged hardware built by APC (Schneider Electric) and Tripp Lite, sold under Dell part numbers. When the batteries inside one of these units reach end of life, the UPS beeps, shows a fault, or fails its self-test — the electronics are usually fine and only the battery pack needs replacing. The kits in this collection are compatible aftermarket replacements assembled to match the original pack for each Dell model.
Every unit here uses sealed lead-acid (SLA/VRLA) cells, the same chemistry the original Dell packs use. Individual 12V blocks are wired in series to reach the UPS string voltage and, in larger units, in parallel to add runtime. Because models in this range run from small 500W tower units up to 8000VA rack systems and 216V external battery modules (EBMs), the cell count, string voltage, and amp-hour rating differ from model to model. We do not publish a single voltage or Ah figure for the collection — the correct pack is defined by your exact model, and each product page lists the specifications for that kit.
Match by the model name and Dell part number printed on the UPS or on the existing battery pack — for example DLT1500, DLA750, DL5000RMTXFMR, or a Dell wattage code such as 2700W K803N-4U. Do not order by VA rating alone; Dell reused similar ratings across different chassis with different battery configurations. Confirm the exact model, then cross-check against the product title and the specs shown in the grid above.
Genuine OEM packs are sourced through Dell or APC/Schneider at OEM pricing. The kits sold here are aftermarket replacements: they are built to the same form factor, terminal layout, and electrical specification as the original so the UPS charges and runs self-tests normally, at a lower cost. They are not Dell or APC products and carry no manufacturer branding.
SLA UPS batteries typically last 3 to 5 years. Heat is the main factor: as a rule of thumb, battery life roughly halves for every ~8°C of sustained operating temperature above 25°C. Keeping the UPS in a cool, ventilated location and running a periodic self-test gets you to the upper end of that range.
General steps:
Hot-swap note: Only rack-mount, Smart-UPS, and online/double-conversion models are designed for hot-swapping while the UPS keeps running. Desktop and Back-UPS style units are not hot-swappable — power the unit down and disconnect the load before changing the battery.
How do I know which kit fits my Dell UPS? Match the exact model name and Dell part number on the unit to the product title, then confirm against the specs in the grid above.
Are these genuine Dell or APC batteries? No. They are compatible aftermarket replacement kits built to the original specification; they carry no Dell or APC branding.
Will an aftermarket pack affect my UPS warranty or self-test? The UPS runs its normal charge and self-test cycle on a correctly matched pack. Manufacturer hardware warranties may treat non-OEM batteries differently — check your warranty terms.
How long do they last? Typically 3 to 5 years, shorter in hot environments (life roughly halves per ~8°C above 25°C).
Can I replace the battery without shutting down? Only on rack, Smart-UPS, and online models designed for hot-swap. Power down desktop and Back-UPS units first.
