How to replace

Smart-UPS 3000 batteries are hot-swappable — the UPS keeps protecting the load during the swap:

1. Confirm the correct cartridge or set for your exact model.
2. Open the battery compartment (front bezel on tower models; tray latch on rack models).
3. Disconnect the battery connector.
4. Slide the old pack out and the new one in.
5. Reconnect until it clicks.
6. Close up, run a self-test, and allow 8–24 hours for a full charge before relying on full runtime.
