The Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD takes one Tripp Lite RBC1500 battery cartridge. The RBC1500 is a 24 volt cartridge with two 12 volt, 9 amp hour sealed lead-acid batteries inside, pre-assembled and pre-wired. One check first. Tripp Lite fits the RBC1500 only to SMART1500LCD units with a battery access door. If your unit has no door, Tripp Lite says to contact a repair technician instead. These are illustrations. Follow your UPS's manual. Our advice: check the full model name on the label before you order. Tripp Lite rates these batteries field-replaceable and hot-swappable, and the UPS recharges the battery from 10 to 90 percent in under four and a half hours. Tripp Lite figures a typical battery life of three to five years, depending on operating conditions. We stock a compatible replacement in two formats. The battery set you wire yourself.
