How to choose

• Size by watts, not just VA. Add up the real power draw (watts) of everything you will plug in, then add 20–25% headroom. Across the SRT line the watt rating runs close to the VA rating (power factor near 0.9–1.0), so a 3000VA / 2700W unit safely supports roughly 2700W of load. Don't undersize against the VA number alone.
• Plan your runtime. Internal batteries give a few minutes — enough for a clean shutdown or a generator to start. If you need to ride through longer outages, every SRT model accepts external battery packs (extended-runtime capable), so choose a model whose battery family scales to the minutes you require.
• Topology. The entire SRT series is online double-conversion — the protection tier above line-interactive. If your equipment is sensitive to transfer time or dirty power, this is the line you want.
• Rack vs tower. Most SRT models ship in a convertible chassis that mounts in a rack (2U–5U+) or stands as a tower. Match the form factor and output voltage (120V / 208V / 230V) to your environment; 208V and step-down-transformer bundles are available for higher-density deployments.
