What is CyberPower double-conversion online UPS?

Online (double-conversion) UPS runs the load permanently from the inverter, utility AC continuously rectified to DC, then re-inverted to clean AC before reaching equipment. Transfer time is effectively zero during a power event and the output sine wave is fully regenerated at all times. It is the usual topology for medical equipment, VoIP PBX, precision laboratory gear, industrial control, and edge data centres where line-interactive transfer is unacceptable.

How to choose

When online is required

When the load can't tolerate the transfer of a line-interactive UPS (4 ms typical on CyberPower's line-interactive models): medical, VoIP, precision lab, industrial control. For other workloads, CyberPower line-interactive is usually enough. Line-interactive vs online UPS.

All OL ship with PowerPanel Business Edition for shutdown integration and an SNMP card slot (RMCARD205 compatible) for network management.

CyberPower uses RB series part numbers. CyberPower lists RB1290X3L for the OL1000RTXL2U and RB1290X6A for the OL3000RTXL2U (RB1270X8 is not a CyberPower part). Both are double-conversion online with zero transfer time. APC SRT has deeper PowerChute / VMware integration and broader SmartSlot card compatibility; compare the specific models for your site.
