What is CyberPower line-interactive UPS?

Line-interactive UPS keeps the load on utility power most of the time and uses an autotransformer with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct sustained low or high voltage without engaging the battery. On a true outage, transfer to battery is 2–4 ms. The right topology for the majority of SMB server, networking, and POS loads.

CP-AVR vs PFC Sinewave

CP-AVR produces simulated sine on battery — fine for desktop and consumer gear, marginal for active-PFC server PSUs. PFC Sinewave produces pure sine — required for any server, NAS, or active-PFC load. For any rack-mounted server, choose PFC Sinewave or PR / OR.

PR vs OR

Both are Professional Rackmount/Tower line-interactive with pure sine. PR is the standard rack/tower convertible chassis. OR is the variant designed for AV / cable-TV / telecom installations with extended runtime support. Confirm by model.

PR and PFC Sinewave include PowerPanel Personal / Business Edition. SNMP card slot on PR series accepts RMCARD205.

Replacement batteries

FAQ

Pure sine on battery?

Yes on PFC Sinewave (CP1500PFCLCD) and Professional PR / OR series. CP-AVR produces simulated sine.

Will CP-AVR protect a NAS?

Marginal. Many NAS use active-PFC supplies that reject simulated sine. Choose CP1500PFCLCD or PR1500LCDRT2U for any NAS or server.

SNMP / network management?

PR series accepts the RMCARD205 SNMP / web card. PowerPanel Business Edition integrates with VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux. CP-AVR uses USB-only PowerPanel Personal Edition.

External battery packs?

BP-series modules supported on PR XL variants. Confirm by model.
