Marketing Information:
500VA/300W/120V Battery Backup for PC Networks, Security Systems or Digital Signage
The SmartPro ® line-interactive SMART500RT1UN UPS system with AVR provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The seven-outlet 120V battery backup is ideal protection for rack-mount equipment in your server room or network closet.
Allows Time to Back Up Critical Files During a Blackout
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the line-interactive UPS system should keep a half load (150W) powered as long as 14 minutes and a full load (300W) up to three minutes.
Included WEBCARDLX Network Interface Offers 24/7 Access
The Java-free HTML5-based WEBCARDLX interface enables full remote access for site power and UPS status monitoring, configuration, control and email notifications via secure web browser, SNMP, telnet or SSH. It supports 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing for optimal communication with an Ethernet network. Optional EnviroSense2 modules (sold separately) provide a variety of environmental monitoring capabilities, including temperature and humidity conditions. Protocols supported include IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2, SNMPv3, telnet, SSH, FTP, DHCP and NTP.
6 NEMA Outlets Protect Your Connected Components
Six 5-15R outlets provide battery backup, 567 joules of surge protection and voltage regulation for your crucial components. Five are UPS-supported, and one is surge-only to connect peripherals not requiring battery backup. One UPS-supported outlet is switchable, allowing you to power its connected device on and off remotely to reset or reboot it or to shed a less significant load to extend battery runtime for more critical equipment.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. The SMART500RT1UN maintains regulated 120V nominal output during brownouts as low as 90V, while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure. The internal batteries are field-replaceable and hot-swappable.
Premium Protection from EMI/RFI Line Noise Helps Your Equipment Perform Better
This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer.
Designed for High Efficiency to Help You Save Money and Protect the Environment
A 96% efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.
LED Indicators and Audible Alarms Keep You Informed
Five front-panel LEDs keep you apprised of line power, battery power, overload, voltage regulation and battery low/replace status at a glance. A multi-function alarm sounds to warn you of power failure, overload and low-battery conditions.

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Need more runtime? This UPS accepts external battery packs (XBPs). Contact us about XBP options →
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Compatible accessories
Network management cards, rail kits, environmental sensors — verified compatible with this UPS line.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
