IS THIS YOUR PROBLEM?

Faults we can investigate on the bench

New battery, still won't hold a charge

That usually points at the charging circuit or a failed board, not the battery. Common on Smart-UPS class units, and usually repairable.

Beeping, a fault code, or it drops the load

We reproduce the fault on the bench under real load, instead of guessing from what the front panel says.

Out of manufacturer warranty but otherwise sound

This is where repair can pay. A board or a fan can cost a fraction of replacing the unit.

CHECK THE UNIT FIRST

What we repair, and what we don't

We repair

Rack, tower and online double-conversion UPS systems from 750 VA to 5,000 VA, including APC Smart-UPS class systems and supported Eaton, Tripp Lite, Vertiv, CyberPower, Xtreme Power, Powervar, Delta, Liebert, Powerware and Minuteman models. The complete model and configuration must be confirmed before purchase.

A brand name or VA rating alone does not confirm eligibility. If the class, phase, configuration or weight is uncertain, send the complete model number first.

Send us the model number

What we don't take through checkout

  1. Consumer desktop units — Back-UPS ES, BE and BX, and equivalent CyberPower and Tripp Lite home lines. Internal parts are not sold separately for those series, and labour alone costs more than the unit is worth. Find your replacement battery · Shop refurbished
  2. Units under manufacturer warranty — The manufacturer should handle the fault; unauthorized work may affect coverage. How to check your warranty
  3. Fire, flood or structurally surge-damaged units — These are outside this bench checkout. Shop refurbished · Battery recycling
  4. Swollen, venting or damaged lithium packs — Do not ship them. Use the recycling route or contact us. Battery recycling

THE PROCESS

A decision before any repair work

  1. Buy the diagnostic.

Tell us the make, complete model, serial, fault and intake route. Your order number is the reference.

  2. Send it or bring it.

Follow the manufacturer's user documentation for safe preparation. Drop-off near Montreal is by appointment.

  3. We test and report.

We test it on the bench under load and send a written report within 3 to 5 business days of receiving it.

  4. You decide.

Approve the repair and the diagnostic comes off the bill. Nothing is repaired without your approval.

SAFE INTAKE

Three things before it ships

  1. Use the manufacturer's preparation instructions.

Remove the battery only when the manufacturer identifies it as user-removable and the documented steps do not require opening the UPS enclosure. Otherwise choose drop-off or contact us before moving the unit. Never open the UPS casing or access internal high-voltage parts.

  2. Write the order number outside the box.

It is the reference that connects the arriving unit to your diagnostic order.

  3. Photograph the label and send tracking.

Reply to the order confirmation with a clear photo of the complete model and serial label, plus the carrier tracking number.

Use the original carton where possible. Units over 30 kg, above 5,000 VA, three-phase or modular systems need a quote before transport. The report time starts when the unit is received.

Record network-card settings before service. Remove a card only if its manufacturer documentation identifies it as user-removable; do not open the UPS enclosure.

AFTER THE REPORT

Four honest outcomes

01

Repairable

You receive a firm price. The diagnostic is credited in full, and approved repair work and replacement batteries carry a 1-year warranty.

02

Repairable, but not worth it

We say so plainly and can price a refurbished equivalent instead.

03

Not repairable

We can recycle it at no charge or return it to you.

04

Nothing found

You keep the report and test results. The diagnostic fee covers the bench time.

Return shipping is always at the customer's cost.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK

Bench repair FAQ

Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?

That depends on the UPS class, age, fault and parts availability. The diagnostic gives you findings and a firm repair price before you decide.

My Back-UPS won't hold a charge. Can you fix it?

We do not sell bench diagnostics for Back-UPS ES, BE or BX and equivalent consumer lines. Internal parts are generally not sold separately and labour can exceed the unit value. Check the replacement-battery route or a refurbished replacement.

Do you repair my brand?

We service supported rack, tower and online systems from the listed manufacturers. Send the complete model and configuration before purchase if anything is uncertain.

Do I ship the batteries with it?

Follow the manufacturer's user documentation. Remove batteries only when they are designated user-removable and the steps do not require opening the UPS enclosure. Otherwise choose drop-off or contact us.

How long will it take?

The written diagnostic report is provided within 3 to 5 business days after the unit is received. Repair timing is quoted separately.

What if you cannot fix it?

You receive the report. We can discuss a refurbished replacement, recycling, or return at your cost.

Should I send a unit still under manufacturer warranty?

No. Contact the manufacturer first because third-party work may affect warranty coverage.

Can I get a refurbished unit instead?

Yes. If repair is not economical or the unit is not repairable, we can price a refurbished equivalent where one is available.

Still not sure? Send us the model number.

A complete model and serial label lets us confirm the class, VA band, configuration and intake route before you buy.
