About this UPS
Vertiv Liebert APS three-phase UPS — series hub. The Liebert APS is Vertiv's modular row-based UPS for edge and mid-size critical loads: FlexPower assemblies slide into the frame, so capacity and N+1 redundancy grow from 5 to 20 kVA without replacing the unit. We stock 28 configurations across the AS3/AS4/AS5/AS6 frame series. Turnkey supply: equipment, freight, licensed installation, batteries and commissioning in one quote — request yours, call 438-881-3363, or compare families in the three-phase UPS guide.

Where the Liebert APS fits
How the Liebert APS compares
Vertiv's slide-in scalability under 20 kVA: where fixed towers force a size decision on day one, the APS defers it — frames are cheap, FlexPower assemblies are the increments. Undecided between families? Start from the three-phase UPS family guide.
Runtime & expansion — batteries, cabinets, bypass
Capacity, redundancy and runtime all scale inside the frame: add FlexPower assemblies for kVA and N+1, add battery assemblies for hold time. The stocked charger module supports extended battery configurations.
- Additional FlexPower assemblies (capacity / N+1) — slide-in growth, quoted per frame (quote it)
- Battery assemblies (runtime) — in-frame hold-time scaling, quoted (quote it)
- APSCHRGRMOD battery charger module — in stock — supports extended battery configurations
Turnkey: from quote to running system
- Tell us the requirement — model or just load, runtime and site details.
- One configured quote — UPS, batteries/cabinets, bypass, freight, installation and commissioning together.
- We do the hard work — logistics, rigging, licensed electricians, startup, and preventive maintenance afterward. Replacing equipment? We buy back working units.
Common questions
What does 'scalable to 20 kVA N+1' mean on the APS?
The frame accepts FlexPower assemblies: a 10 kVA load with three 5 kVA assemblies runs N+1 — any one can fail or be swapped while the load stays protected. Capacity grows the same way, up to the frame rating.
Which APS frame should I buy?
Buy the frame for where the load is going, not where it is: frames are the cheap part, assemblies the increments. We spec the frame and populate it for today's load plus one assembly.
Can runtime be extended?
Yes — battery assemblies scale inside the frame, and extended-battery configurations are supported with the charger module we stock. Send load and target minutes and we configure it.
Is this a turnkey purchase?
Yes — freight, installation through licensed electricians, startup, battery configuration and old-unit removal quoted as one project. We do the hard work.
How do pricing and lead time work on three-phase systems?
Three-phase systems are quoted, not carted: pricing depends on configuration, batteries, freight class and installation scope. Send the requirement and you get a firm, itemized quote — and honest availability for each option before you commit.
Do you supply and install outside major cities?
Yes — supply, freight and installation are coordinated wherever the site is, through our network of licensed electricians and riggers. Remote and industrial sites are quoted with site logistics included.

Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
