Ultra-compact UPS offers power protection for desktop workstations and other essential home and office network components. Features | 500VA/300W/230V Battery Backup for Home and Office Workstations The AVR Series line-interactive AVRX500UD UPS system with AVR provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 230V battery backup is ideal protection for desktop workstations and other essential business and small-network office equipment. This UPS system is also recommended for home networking applications, such as Wi-Fi, security cameras and home theater components. Reliable, Expandable Battery Backup Keeps You Operational Through Power Outages Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but internal battery should keep a half load (150W) powered as long as four minutes. 4 Schuko CEE 7/7 Outlets Protect Your Connected Components Four outlets provide battery backup, 156 joules of surge protection and voltage regulation for your crucial components. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. The AVRX500UD can correct brownouts as low as 159V and overvoltages as high as 282V back to nominal 230V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure. Premium Protection from EMI/RFI Line Noise Helps Your Equipment Perform Better This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer. Designed for High Efficiency to Help You Save Money and Protect the Environment A >95% efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs. Audible Alarm and Status LED Keep You Informed Around the Clock The alarm and LED report on/off status, battery mode operation, low-battery condition and UPS fault. Audible Alarm and Status LED Keep You Informed Around the Clock The alarm and LED report on/off status, battery mode operation, low-battery condition and UPS fault. Versatile Installation Options Give You Plenty of Choices The ultra-compact housing features mounting tabs on the bottom panel for installing the UPS system on any horizontal or vertical flat surface. The 1.5-meter power cord with space-saving right-angle Schuko CEE 7/7 input connects to a compatible AC outlet. |

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Approximate - based on a single manufacturer anchor point. Estimates are roughest near very light or very heavy loads.
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
