CP1500PFCLCD and CP1500AVRLCD take the RB1290X2 24-volt battery pack built from two 12-volt 9 amp-hour sealed lead-acid batteries. Inside both 1500 V A mini-towers, two 12-volt 9 amp-hour blocks wire in series to deliver 24 volts D C. Each 12-volt 9 amp-hour block measures 151 by 65 by 94 millimeters, or 5.94 by 2.56 by 3.70 inches, and weighs 2.52 kilograms, or 5.56 pounds.

CP1500PFCLCD and CP1500AVRLCD use RB1290X2, CP1500AVRLCD3 specifies RB1290X2E, and CP1350PFCLCD in the shared manual takes RB1270X2C. In CyberPower's shared 1350 and 1500 V A P F C manual, the 1000-watt CP1500PFCLCD takes RB1290X2 with two 12-volt 9 amp-hour blocks. By contrast, the 880-watt CP1350PFCLCD in that same manual takes RB1270X2C with two 12-volt 7 amp-hour blocks. In the A V R L C D line, both the 1350 V A CP1350AVRLCD and 1500 V A CP1500AVRLCD take the 24-volt RB1290X2 pack. On the third-generation CP1500AVRLCD3 and CP1350AVRLCD3, manual K01-0000946-00, CyberPower lists RB1290X2E, which lifts 30 degrees upward by its side handles.

CP1500AVRT and CP1350AVRLCD also take RB1290X2, whereas OR1500PFCLCD takes RB1290X2B, OR1500LCDRM1U takes RB0690X4, and PR1500LCDRT2U takes RB1270X4F. The office rackmount OR1500PFCLCD uses two 12-volt 9 amp-hour blocks in the RB1290X2B tray measuring 130 by 94 by 150 millimeters, or 5.1 by 3.7 by 5.9 in. The rackmount OR1500LCDRM1U takes RB0690X4 with four 6-volt 9 amp-hour blocks measuring 208 by 37 by 328 millimeters, or 8.2 by 1.45 by 12.91 in. Meanwhile, PR1500LCDRT2U and PR1500LCDRT2UN take RB1270X4F with four 12-volt 7 amp-hour blocks weighing 9.62 kilograms, or 21.2 pounds.

Choose the pre-assembled 24-volt pack or two-battery set, replace both 12-volt blocks together, and recharge for 8 to 16 hours. Before opening the unit, turn off and unplug all connected equipment, unplug the UPS from the wall outlet, and lay the tower on its side. Remove the bottom front panel retaining screws and slide the cover off. Connect red to red positive and black to black negative on both new batteries. Slide the cover back on, tighten the screws, and recharge the UPS for 8 to 16 hours to fully charge the battery.
