550VA/340W/120V Battery Backup for PCs, Home Theaters or Digital Signage
This OmniSmart ® line-interactive UPS system with AVR protection provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, security systems and digital signage equipment.
Allows Time to Back Up Critical Files During a Blackout
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but internal battery should keep a half load (170W) powered as long as 10 minutes and a full load (340W) up to 3.6 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.
12 NEMA 5-15R Outlets Protect Your Connected Components
Six 5-15R outlets provide battery backup, surge protection and voltage regulation for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other six 5-15R outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout. In addition, RJ45 jacks protect a telephone/DSL dial-up or 10BaseT Ethernet connection.
Double-Boost AVR Corrects Low/High-Voltage Conditions for Enhanced Performance
A double-boost, single-cut AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) circuit, designed specifically for the LATAM region, protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. Slight under-voltages as low as 93V are boosted by 13%. More severe brownouts as low as 78V are increased by 35%. A voltage cut of 16% reduces UPS output during overvoltage conditions as high as 152V, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.
600 Joules Fight Back Against Unexpected Power Surges
A 600-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges.
Designed for High Efficiency to Help You Save Money and Protect the Environment
A >98.3% efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Replacement batteries that fit this exact UPS
A line-interactive UPS typically needs new batteries every 3–5 years. We stock the matching replacement cartridges — Canadian warranty.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
