1200VA/600W/120V Battery Backup for PCs, Home Theater or Digital Signage

This 120V UPS system with AVR provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can destroy data or damage valuable electronics. It is ideal for protecting home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, security systems and digital signage equipment.

Allows Time to Back Up Critical Files During a Blackout

Battery backup allows you to work through short power failures and gives you time to save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but this line-interactive UPS system can keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 88 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power is always available.

Restarts Automatically After a Long Outage

Once utility power is restored after a prolonged outage, the UPS will automatically power up, even if the battery is expired and requires replacement. This battery independent restart feature eliminates the need to turn on the UPS manually after a blackout.

Connects Your Equipment to 8 Protected NEMA 5-15R Outlets

Six battery/surge-protected outlets provide battery backup and surge suppression for your computer, monitor and other critical equipment. Two additional surge-protected outlets provide surge suppression for peripherals that do not require battery backup, such as printers and speakers. A high >95% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions

AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. The OMNIVS1200LCD corrects brownouts as low as 89V and overvoltages as high as 145V back to nominal 120V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged.

Surge Suppression Protects AC and Tel/DSL/Ethernet Lines

Rated to 316 joules, this UPS system protects equipment connected to the outlets and RJ45 jacks (1 in/1 out) from the harmful effects of power surges that can occur over AC and telephone/network lines. The RJ45 jacks are not compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications.

Combats Line Noise That Can Harm Equipment

EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference) are common causes of performance problems for electronics and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission interruptions. The OMNIVS1200LCD filters out this disruptive line noise on the AC line to protect your equipment.

Easy-to-Read LCD Touchscreen Reports Real-Time UPS and Power Status

The LCD touchscreen offers five screens of UPS and site power information when the UPS is operating in either on-line or battery power mode. It displays vital voltage, load and battery data, as well as critical fault status. An audible alarm indicates low battery, excessive load or fault condition.

    Frequently asked

    Before you order

How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?

Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.

What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?

New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.

Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?

Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
