Marketing Information:
The SMC1000T SmartPro 120V 1kVA 650W Line-Interactive Sine Wave UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up high-performance workstations, servers and network equipment, the SMC1000T switches to battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss. Pure sine wave output is compatible with active power factor correction (PFC) power supplies.
Featuring eight NEMA 5-15R outlets and a six-foot power cord with NEMA 5-15P input, the SMC1000T has an internal battery that provides 14.4 minutes of support at half load and five minutes at full load. Two of the eight outlets provide surge protection only for printers and other non-essential devices. Front-panel LEDs indicate load level, power, voltage correction, site wiring fault and battery statuses.
Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains selectable 100V, 110V or 120V nominal output over an input range of 83V-121V (100V), 87V-133V (110V) or 95V-145V (120V) without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment's performance and prevents damage. A 570-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software, the SMC1000T enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Replacement batteries that fit this exact UPS
A line-interactive UPS typically needs new batteries every 3–5 years. We stock the matching replacement cartridges — Canadian warranty.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
