Features | 1.5kVA/900W/230V Battery Backup for PCs, Home Theaters or Digital Signage
This SmartPro ® line-interactive UPS system with AVR protection provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 230V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, kiosks, security systems and digital signage equipment.
Allows Time to Back Up Critical Files During a Blackout
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the line-interactive UPS system should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 90 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.
8 IEC 320 C13 Outlets Protect Your Connected Components
Six C13 outlets provide battery backup, surge protection and voltage regulation for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other two C13 outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout. Included outlet adapters convert two C13 outlets to 10A Australia/New Zealand-compatible outlets. A high >95% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. The SMX1500LCDTA can correct brownouts as low as 170V and overvoltages as high as 280V back to nominal 230V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.
455 Joules Fight Back Against Unexpected Power Surges
A 455-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. In addition to the C13 outlets, the RJ45 jacks for phone, DSL, fax, modem and Ethernet connections (not compatible with PoE applications) also are protected against surges.

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Need more runtime? This UPS accepts external battery packs (XBPs). Contact us about XBP options →
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.

Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
