The Tripp Lite BP24V70-3U external battery module adds runtime for select 24V DC Tripp Lite UPS systems in the SmartOnline and SmartPro families. The 3U chassis holds a 70Ah battery string and mounts in a 19 inch rack with the included hardware, or stands beside a tower UPS. Installation is a single battery-port connection; the module charges from the UPS and reports through the UPS display. Because the batteries are sealed VRLA and hot-swappable, a replacement cartridge can be fitted without shutting down protected equipment, and the cartridges themselves are sold separately in our UPS Batteries catalogue. The BP24V70-3U is built for installations that must keep servers, network closets or industrial controls running through extended outages, and it carries the same TAA compliance as the UPS families it serves.
