The Tripp Lite SRCOOL7KRME is a 9000 BTU/h (2.64 kW) rack-mount cooling unit for enclosures with perforated doors; it is not for use with solid, plexiglass or glass doors, since it needs airflow through the rack. It installs in a bottom-mount configuration and ejects heat from equipment that the room's ambient cooling cannot keep up with, such as densely packed server racks in closets without dedicated HVAC. The unit runs on R32 refrigerant, and its built-in control maintains the set point with automatic fan and compressor staging. Pairs of units can be staged for redundancy.
