Vertiv standby UPS

Vertiv standby (offline) UPS protect desktops, home offices, modems and routers, point-of-sale terminals and other small loads. In standby mode the equipment runs from utility power and the UPS switches to battery when the supply fails, which suits loads that need battery backup, surge protection and a clean shutdown rather than continuous power conditioning.

How to choose

Size by watts. Add up the watts of everything you plan to connect and pick a model whose watt rating clears that total with headroom. A desktop with a monitor and a router usually fits in the 500 to 900 VA models.

Standby or line-interactive. Standby units switch to battery on every sag or outage. If your power often dips, a line-interactive UPS with automatic voltage regulation corrects it without using the battery.

Voltage. The LVMT, LVT and MT120 models are 120 V; the IT-IEC models are 240 V with IEC outlets. Match the model to your outlet.

Replacement batteries

When a lead-acid model's battery wears out, you do not need a new UPS: see Liebert Vertiv replacement batteries and match the model on the unit label. We do not stock compatible lithium packs for the Power-UPS Lithium model.
