What is Vertiv Liebert online UPS?

Online (double-conversion) UPS runs the load permanently from the inverter, utility AC continuously rectified to DC, then re-inverted to clean AC before reaching equipment. Transfer time is effectively zero during a power event and the output sine wave is fully regenerated at all times. It is the usual topology for medical equipment, VoIP PBX, precision laboratory gear, industrial control, and data-centre infrastructure where line-interactive transfer is unacceptable.

Vertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power, sold by Emerson in 2016) sells its single- and small three-phase UPS under the long-running Liebert brand. Sizing

Most GXT5 models are unity PF (GXT5-1500IRT2UXL 1500 VA / 1500 W, GXT5-3000IRT2UXL 3000 VA / 3000 W, GXT5-10KIRT5UXL 10 kVA / 10 kW); some 120 V models run at 0.9 (GXT5-3000LVRT2UXL 3000 VA / 2700 W). Spec reference

Vertiv Power Insight software is a free download for fleet monitoring. GXT5 units have a Liebert IntelliSlot port; the RDU101 network card (SNMP, web management, environmental sensors) is factory-installed on select models. GXT5 batteries are hot-swappable and user-replaceable, and GXT5 models support external battery cabinets.

Replacement batteries

GXT5 uses Vertiv replacement battery kits (GXT5-...BATKIT) and GXT5-EBC external battery cabinets. We stock compatible cartridges matched on voltage, capacity, terminals and connectors, with a 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty. Installation and warranty

120 V GXT5 models up to 3000 VA plug in (NEMA 5-15P, or L5-30P on the 3000 VA). 230 V GXT5 models from 1500 to 3000 VA use an IEC C14 or C20 input; the 6 and 10 kVA models are hardwired. The GXT5 Lithium-Ion 5 kVA 208 V uses an L6-30P. ITA2, APM2, NXC, EXM are hardwired with site commissioning. Manufacturer warranty: two or three years on lead-acid GXT5 depending on the model; five years on the UPS and battery for GXT5 Lithium-Ion. Coordinated through our Canadian team.
