The Eaton 9PX is an online double-conversion (true sine wave) UPS series spanning roughly 1,500 VA / 1,350 W up to 11,000 VA / 11,000 W in tower, rack, and rack/tower-convertible form factors, including lithium-ion models. Genuine Eaton, shipped from our Canadian warehouse.
The Eaton 9PX is a premium online double-conversion UPS series built for IT racks, network closets, edge sites, and mission-critical equipment that cannot tolerate a dropout. Every model in this range continuously rebuilds a clean pure sine wave output, fully isolating your load from sags, surges, frequency drift, and brownouts on the incoming mains. In Eaton's single-phase lineup the 9PX sits above the line-interactive 5PX as the always-on, double-conversion tier, and the units here span roughly 1,500 VA / 1,350 W up to 11,000 VA / 11,000 W — covering everything from a single rack of servers to a small computer room. Most models ship as tower/rack-convertible chassis; the series also includes dedicated rackmount (4U and larger) and tower configurations, plus lithium-ion variants for longer service life and extended runtime.
A representative selection is shown below. See the full range of 9PX models listed on this page for every voltage, outlet, and runtime option.

Size by watts, not just VA. A UPS carries two numbers — volt-amps (VA) and watts (W). Your real load is measured in watts, so add up the wattage of everything you intend to protect and pick a 9PX whose watt rating comfortably exceeds it (aim to load it to roughly 70–80% so you keep headroom and runtime). Across this series the W rating ranges from 1,350 W on the 1.5 kVA model up to 11,000 W on the largest units.
Match runtime to your shutdown plan. The figures above are internal-battery runtimes at half and full load; they are meant to ride through short outages and give servers a graceful, automated shutdown. If you need minutes to become tens of minutes or hours, every 9PX in this range is extended-runtime capable — you add matching Eaton battery modules (EBMs) to scale runtime. Lithium-ion 9PX models carry a longer warranty and longer battery service life, which is why several here show a 5-year warranty versus 3 years on the standard models.
Topology. The entire 9PX series is online double-conversion. Unlike a line-interactive UPS (such as Eaton's 5PX), an online UPS runs the load through the inverter at all times with zero transfer time and full voltage/frequency regulation — the right choice for servers, storage, networking, medical, and other sensitive or transfer-intolerant equipment.
Rack vs tower. Most 9PX units are tower/rack convertible, so you can stand one beside a workstation today and rack it later. The series also includes dedicated rackmount (4U+) and tower-only models. Check the form-factor and outlet columns on each product to confirm the chassis depth, output voltage (120 V, 208 V, or 230 V), and receptacle types match your PDU and rack.
Standard 9PX models carry a 3-year manufacturer warranty; lithium-ion 9PX models carry a 5-year warranty. We are a Canadian reseller and ship genuine Eaton 9PX systems from our Canadian warehouse, so you avoid cross-border delays and surprise duties. Our team can help you size the right model and the right battery modules before you order.

Is the Eaton 9PX online or line-interactive?
Online double-conversion. The load always runs through the inverter, giving a regulated pure sine wave output and zero transfer time — the standard for servers and other sensitive loads.
What size 9PX do I need?
Total up the wattage of your equipment and pick a model whose watt rating exceeds it with headroom (target about 70–80% load). This range covers 1,350 W up to 11,000 W.
Can I get more runtime than the table shows?
Yes. Every 9PX here is extended-runtime capable — add matching Eaton battery modules (EBMs) to increase backup time.
What is the difference between the standard and lithium-ion 9PX models?
Lithium-ion (LiFePO4) 9PX models offer longer battery service life, lighter weight, and a 5-year warranty versus 3 years on the standard valve-regulated lead-acid models.
Can the 9PX mount in a rack?
Most 9PX units are tower/rack convertible; the series also includes dedicated rackmount (4U+) chassis. Check each product's form-factor and outlet specs to confirm fit.
