About this battery pack
Fits APC Smart-UPS SMT1000, SMT1000C, SMT1000CUS and SMC1500C. A pre-wired cartridge that replaces the APC RBC6 (APCRBC6); each of these UPS takes one. Not for the SMT750 (RBC48) or the SMT1500 (RBC7).

Alarms before and after the swap (APC)
- Red Replace Battery LED with a beep for 1 minute every 5 hours: the battery failed its self-test.
- Chirp every 4 seconds with a flashing Replace Battery LED: the battery is not connected. Check the connection after the swap (SMT and SMC models).

Which battery fits the APC SMT1000? It takes one RBC6. The RBC6 is a sealed lead acid cartridge. Discontinued in 2023, still supported by parts. We stock it two ways: a loose set that reuses your existing wiring, or a pre-wired cartridge, ready to drop in. The battery is linked below. UPSPLUSBATTERY ships across Canada.
