| Marketing Information: | The SMX1500SLT SmartPro 230V 1.5kVA 900W Line-Interactive Sine Wave UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up point-of-sale applications, VoIP systems and small business networks, the SMX1500SLT switches to battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss. Featuring eight C13 outlets and a C14 inlet that accepts a user-supplied AC power cord, the SMX1500SLT has an internal battery that provides 20 minutes of support at half load and eight minutes at full load. Front-panel LEDs indicate line power, voltage regulation, load level and battery status. An alarm sounds to indicate power failure or overload. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains selectable 220V, 230V or 240V nominal output over an input range of 174V-266V (220V), 182V-278V (230V) or 190V-290V (240V) without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment's performance and prevents damage. A 350-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite's downloadable PowerAlert ® software, the SMX1500SLT enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure. Adding an optional Network Managment Card permits remote management of the UPS Protects Mission-Critical Equipment

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Need more runtime? This UPS accepts external battery packs (XBPs). Contact us about XBP options →
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Compatible accessories
Network management cards, rail kits, environmental sensors — verified compatible with this UPS line.
Replacement batteries that fit this exact UPS
A line-interactive UPS typically needs new batteries every 3–5 years. We stock the matching replacement cartridges — Canadian warranty.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list and we'll size the right UPS within one business hour.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the full manufacturer warranty registered to you on receipt. The manufacturer handles claims directly via their North American support channel. Refurbished units are covered by our own 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in-house in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
