Battery type

Minuteman models use 6 V or 12 V VRLA batteries, with capacity ranging widely by model (roughly 7 Ah to 18 Ah), and larger units use several in series. Because the configuration varies across the range, match by your exact model number (e.g. PRO500E, MBK680, MSU-1400) or the Minuteman battery part number (e.g. B00009) rather than by VA alone.

How to replace

1. Confirm the correct battery for your model.
2. Power down the UPS if your manual requires it.
3. Open the battery compartment or tray.
4. Disconnect the old battery and remove it.
5. Fit the new battery (or set), reconnect observing polarity, and close up.
6. Recharge and run a self-test.
