Marketing Information:
The SMART1500 SmartPro 120V 1.5kVA 980W Line-Interactive UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up point-of-sale applications, VoIP systems and small business networks, the SMART1500 switches to battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss.
Featuring six NEMA 5-15R outlets (one switchable) and a six-foot power cord with 120V NEMA 5-15P input, the SMART1500 has an internal battery that provides 20 minutes of support at half load and seven minutes at full load. Front-panel LEDs indicate line power, battery power, overload, voltage regulation and battery status. An alarm sounds to indicate power failure, overload or a low battery.
Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains 120V nominal output over an input range of 75V to 147V without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment's performance and prevents damage. A 480-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software (available via free download), the SMART1500 enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure

Technical specifications
How long it'll keep your equipment up.
Manufacturer-specified runtime at typical loads. Real-world figures depend on battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Need more runtime? This UPS accepts external battery packs (XBPs). Contact us about XBP options →
Estimate based on manufacturer-specified runtime curve. Real-world runtime varies with battery age, ambient temperature, and load profile.
Compatible accessories
Network management cards, rail kits, environmental sensors — verified compatible with this UPS line.
Replacement batteries that fit this exact UPS
A line-interactive UPS typically needs new batteries every 3–5 years. Matching replacement cartridges are listed by UPS model; confirm the exact model before ordering.
Before you order
How do I know this UPS will run my equipment?
Add up the wattage draw of every device you'll plug in (servers, switches, monitors). The UPS's wattage rating — not VA — is the number that matters. Aim for the UPS to run at 60–70% of capacity at full load: this gives headroom for inrush current and a meaningful runtime margin. Email us your equipment list; we'll respond within one business day with sizing guidance.
What's covered by the warranty, and how long does it last?
New units carry the warranty coverage stated by the manufacturer; see the product listing or manufacturer documentation for the applicable terms. Refurbished units are covered by the 1-year UPSPLUSBATTERY warranty handled in Canada.
Can I extend runtime beyond what's shown above?
Many Smart-UPS-class models accept an external battery pack (XBP) connected to the rear battery port. If this UPS shows "Extended Runtime Capable: Yes" in the spec grid above, an XBP is supported. Compatible XBPs and the runtime gain they deliver vary by model — contact us if you don't see the right XBP in our catalogue.
